Fibroids depend on estrogen for their growth and tend to diminish during the onset of menopause. There can be one or multiple fibroids, and they can range in size. Many women have had a fibroid or fibriods in their reproductive years, but don’t know due to the small size and lack of symptoms. Fibroids can impair or prevent conception or implantation if they are blocking the pathway to the uterus and fallopian tubes.
